Doctor Profiles

Dr. Dan Higginson, B.Sc. Hon., D.C.

Subsequent to graduating from the University of Toronto with an honours Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Higginson attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), in Toronto, where he graduated with honours in 1988.

It was at Chiropractic College that Dr. Higginson had the good fortune to meet his clinic partner Dr. Keil; together they established Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic in July 1988. An opportunity arose in 1989 for them to take over a rural practice in Linwood, Ontario, where they continue to practice with their colleague Dr. Moore.

Dr. Higginson has held various administrative and executive positions within the Waterloo Regional Chiropractic Society, Ontario Chiropractic Association and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

Practice continues to be both challenging and rewarding and has availed him the opportunity to provide chiropractic care at various local, provincial, national and international sporting events. The volunteer nature of these events has allowed him to give back to the community which he enjoys calling home.

Dr. Cal Keil, B.Sc. Hon., D.C.

A past University of Waterloo honours graduate and varsity basketball player, Dr. Cal Keil returned to Waterloo after graduating from CMCC in 1988 to establish Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic with colleague and friend Dr. Dan Higginson. In 1989 they purchased a satellite practice in Linwood, Ontario to provide service for the Mennonite and rural community.

Dr. Keil has been actively involved locally as past president of the Pain Awareness Intervention Network and is a member of the Waterloo Regional Chiropractic Society and Varsity Backboard Club. Dr. Keil is currently an independent examiner for the Wellness Centre at St. Mary's Hospital as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment team evaluating motor vehicle accident cases. If not in the clinic Dr. Keil is often seen at one of the local gyms as he coaches Boys and Girls basketball teams for the Waterloo Wildhawks and KW Lightning organizations.

Dr. Jennifer Moore, B.Sc. Hon., D.C.

Dr. Moore was born and raised in Smooth Rock Falls, a small town north of Timmins, ON. She attended the University of Waterloo, where she received an honors Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2000. She then attended the New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, NY, where she graduated with honors in 2004.

Dr. Moore returned to Canada shortly after graduating and joined Beechwood Chiropractic in May 2005. She also practices part-time at the Linwood Chiropractic Clinic, in Linwood, ON., with her colleagues Drs. Higginson and Keil.

In the community, Dr. Moore is the President of the Waterloo Regional Chiropractic Society, and is the Treasurer of the KW Community Spirit Lion's club. She is also a member of the KW Business Women in Networking group and is a member of the Waterloo Legion.
